Q? HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK MY LIMOUSINE?
A. We do not place any restrictions as to how far in advance you need to book a limousine. However, we work on a “first come, first served” basis; we recommend you to book your ride as soon as possible, to ensure we still have a vehicle available for your requested date.
Q? WHAT IS A POINT-TO-POINT TRANSFER RATE?
A. A point-to-point transfer rate is a flat rate we charge for a trip that requires a direct transfer from one destination to another. Point-to-point transfers do not allow for any additional stops and we reserve the right to offer such bookings only for special circumstances. All other rides are based on an hourly basis.
Q? DO YOU CHARGE FOR EXTRA STOPS ALONG THE WAY?
A. No, we do not charge for extra stops on hourly bookings but there may be additional fees for point-to-point transfers. Please feel free to ask us at the time of booking and we’ll be happy to let you know about any additional costs for extra stops.
Q? CAN WE SMOKE IN A LIMOUSINE?
A. Our vehicles are all 100% smoke free and we reserve the right to terminate any service where clients are found smoking inside our limousines. No refund will be given in such instances.
Q? ARE GLASSES AND ICE PROVIDED IN THE LIMOUSINE?
A. For bookings longer then 3 hours, Vancouver Royal Limousine will automatically supply ice and clean glassware for client use. For all other services we supply ice and glassware at the client’s request. However, our vehicles are always stocked with Red Solo cups.
Q? WHY IS THERE SUCH A PRICE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COMPANIES?
A. If you’ve called several different companies, you will undoubtedly get a wide range of prices for seemingly the same type of vehicle. What you’ll most likely find is that several companies will give you very similar prices for similar services, with one or two giving you a way lower cost. All professional, reputable and dependent companies have similar expenses such as insurance, maintenance fees and licensing fees; running an efficient and profitable service will lead them to having very similar pricings. The only real way of cutting costs and still making reasonable profit is by cutting something else. This most often translates into inferior limousines, untrained chauffeurs, unlicensed and uninsured operators or a business that has all sorts of hidden fees that you won’t find out about until you’re asked to pay.
Q? IS THE CHARGE PER PERSON OR PER HOUR?
A. We charge an hourly rate or point-to-point transfer rate, per vehicle.
Q? DO I HAVE TO PAY IN ADVANCE FOR MY RESERVATION?
A. No, you only need a valid credit card to secure your reservation. We do not actually charge your card. However, we do charge a non-refundable deposit for bookings on prime dates or rides longer than 3 hours.
Q? CAN I PAY BY CREDIT CARD TO THE DRIVER?
A. Yes, you can pay using any type or credit card. However, debit card payment is not available trough the driver, but you can also pay cash.
Q? WHEN DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR MY LIMOUSINE SERVICE?
A. We collect payment at the beginning of every ride. You can either pay with cash, cheque or by Visa, MasterCard or American Express. For prime reservation dates, and bookings longer then 3 hours a non-refundable deposit may be required to hold your reservation. Feel free to give us a call and we can let you know if your booking requires a deposit.
Q? DO I HAVE TO PAY A DAMAGE DEPOSIT?
A. No, we do not charge a damage deposit.
Q? CAN I SPLIT THE SERVICE TIME FOR MY WEDDING LIMO SERVICE?
A. Yes, you can split the time however you wish. We are here to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible, not to place restrictions on how you use our services.
Q? HOW MANY PASSENGERS DOES A LIMOUSINE HOLD?
A. It depends. We have all types of vehicles from 6 passenger SUVs, to 13 passenger SUV limousines.
Q? DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE TIME IT TAKES FOR THE LIMO TO GET TO MY PLACE?
A. For Grater Vancouver pick ups you don't have to pay for the limo to get to your place. You only get charged for the time you’re actually in the limo. For any other cities you may need to pay a little bit extra for travel time.
Q? WILL MY LIMO HAVE AN IPOD, I PHONE HOOKUP?
A. Yes, all our vehicles are equipped with iPod, IPhone hookups and Bluetooth wireless connections.
Q? IF I BOOK A LIMOUSINE TO GO OUT TO A RESTAURANT, DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE LIMO WHILE WE’RE IN THE RESTAURANT EATING?
A. No, you only get charged for the times you’re actually in the limousine.
Q? IS GOVERNMENT TAX INCLUDED?
A. No, government tax (5% GST) is not included in our flat rates.
Q? IS DRIVER GRATUITY INCLUDED IN YOUR RATES?
A. No, driver gratuity is not included in our rates. While in most cases driver gratuity is left up to the customer to decide, we believe 15% is usually enough for an outstanding service.
Q? UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES ARE THERE ADDITIONAL CHARGES?
A. The only time we would charge you more than the determined price is if you chose to use our services for longer than the time you booked. We’re not the kind of company that likes to surprise our customers with hidden charges, so you’ll never hear of any from us!
Q? ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES OR CHARGES ASIDE FROM THE NORMAL QUOTE I WAS GIVEN?
A. On most rides, the only additional charges are government tax (5% GST), fuel surcharge (5%), and driver gratuity (usually around 15%). There are certain instances, such as airport and cruise pickups, where we may add an additional fee to the pickup. But don’t worry; we will let you know about all these when you call to book, so you’ll have no surprises when you’re ready to pay.
Q? WHAT DO I NEED TO RESERVE A LIMOUSINE?
A. To book a limo you need your pickup and drop off times and addresses and a valid credit card. Because the credit card is only held for security, we do not actually charge your card. We also require a non-refundable deposit for bookings longer than 3 hours or the ones made during “prime dates”.
